Lynton & Barnstaple World
The L&B is to feature at the National Model Railway Show at the NEC, Birmingham, in November 2012. The full-size Manning Wardle LYD will be there, along with several models and layouts, including some of LYN, and up to date information on the project will also be displayed.

Winson Model Engineering
Before going into liquidation in 2005, Winson Engineering manufactured
the frames for another replica L&B Loco - YEO. These frames are
currently stored by the L&B pending the restarting of that project.
In 2000, Winsons also produced a quarter-scale model engineering kit
for LYN in a number of gauges, from 4.5" to 7.5". This archive of the
Winson website includes much detail of the kit,including several photos
and drawings.

A project building 72010 Hengist - a British Railways Clan Class 6MT 4-6-2 pacific steam locomotive for preserved heritage lines in the U.K.

Puffing Billy
Billed as "Australia's favourite steam train", This century-old steam train is still running on its original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook in the scenic Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, Southern Australia.
The line is blessed with a fleet of Baldwin NA Class 2-6-2 locomotives, similar in style, although a little larger, to LYN.

The LYD Project
Completed in 2010, replica Manning Wardle 2-6-2 SR E190 "LYD" entered service in 2010 on the FR/WHR - and was guest of honour at the L&B Gala in September. It is hoped that LYD will visit Woody Bay again in the not too distant future - perhaps to double-head a heritage train with LYN!

Hunslet Steam Co.
With a history spanning well over a century, the company has recently revived part of the business that had been dormant for 35 years - steam locomotive manufacture. Hunslet are now building new Quarry Class 0-4-0 Saddle Tank steam locomotives and others, in gauges from 10.25" to standard.
